Elements of an attractive city

Tampere has been rewarded many times as the most attractive city in Finland. We are aiming at keeping the number one position and developing the city even further.

The elements of an attractive creative city, which Creative Tampere programme is developing are the constructed surrroundings and events in the city.

One project example is the Centre for Creative Industries. There was shown a clear need for premises for creative industries in Tampere. Creative Tampere programme made a study of the business model and renovation needs for an old sock factory (12 000 m2). The centre will serve many kinds of space / property needs of creative industries (movie, media, music, design, entertainment, tourism etc.).
